Every great journey or story begins with a single spark. That moment of ignition that may seem insignificant at the time, but that small spark sets a series of events in motion that becomes the journey or story. A Plus Carpentry is a family owned and operated team of master finish carpenters who have earned our reputation as one of the best master craftsmen in the GTA and Southern Ontario. For over a few years, owner and master finish carpenter Michael Ostapenko and his wife Zeynep have handcrafted and installed elegant, stylish interior designs for home builders and owners for their luxury home renovations and new construction projects. Our success didn’t come easy, or overnight. In fact, it began many years before we were even in business, with a small spark. When our founder Michael Ostapenko was just 5 years old, he had that spark. While other kids in the neighbourhood were busy playing video games, Michael began playing with leftover remnants of wood. He imagined them more than discarded odds and ends leftover from a renovation project, and imagined them as designs and works of art. With that spark, he borrowed some of his father's tools and began chipping away at his raw material, and created his very first design. That small spark set him on his way to becoming a master finish carpenter and craftsman. Many years and many more projects later, Michael, his wife and an A Plus Carpentry team, still waking up every day, and creating the very finest handcrafted pieces for clients whose style ambitions are more particular and refined than simple off the shelf or mass-produced offerings.
